Overview

NZCQ HTHP consistometer is a new smart instrument designed and engineered in strict accordance with API Standard-10 and used for simulating high-temperature and high-pressure downhole well conditions as well as for measuring consistency and thickening time of oil well cement continuously. Housing of the instrument is all made of stainless steel, which is more durable in use. The instrument sets many nodes which can trigger the alarm in terms of such test parameters as consistency, pressure, air supply pressure, oil level in the oil tank, etc. The alarm sound can be turned off through one-button operation more easily. Besides,it is composed of a series of high-quality components, including SIEMENS PLC, EUROTHERM temperature controller, SC air-operated hydraulic pump, HIP air operated valve, Japanese NKK switch, Japanese NKK switch, OMRON touch screen and thermocouple made in Japan.

Newly-designed potentiometer features easy calibration to 0Bc, grounding contact spring with better contact stability as well as a ceramic bearing with small friction and long service life. Besides, the spring, installed at the bottom of the potentiometer, won’t be affected by the slurry.

As for conventional potentiometer, it has troublesome calibration, inaccurate measurement caused by easily loose probe as well as easily corrosive and stuck bearing. Besides, cement slurry tends to accumulate around the spring easily.

Automatic Pressure Regulation

During test, the pressure can automatically adjust to normal range specified by API standards so as to keep an accurate simulation of HTHP downhole conditions. In this way, test accuracy can be ensured with less manual adjustment errors.


Settings of Alarm Parameters

The instrument sets many nodes which can trigger the alarm in terms of such test parameters as consistency, pressure, air supply pressure, oil level in the oil tank, etc.  It's simple and useful to set these alarm parameters as needed.


Considerate Layout of Valves

Electrically-operated valves of cooling system, air release system and air to cylinder system are designed to be used in parallel with manually-operated  valves. Therefore, the test can be ended manually even if emergencies occur (e.g., power failure).


Shorter Cool-down Time

Cast-aluminum chiller accelerates heat diffusion and enlarges contact surface, which effectively shortens the cool-down time.

Spring Won’t Be Affected by Slurry.

The spring is installed at the bottom of the potentiometer, which helps to avoid cement slurry accumulation around it. Therefore, the spring is able to keep good performance.


Easy Calibration to 0Bc

Users can easily calibrate the potentiometer to 0Bc with the adjustment of only one screw nut.


Ceramic Bearing

Ceramic bearing features high hardness, strong corrosion resistance and long service life. Moreover, its small friction increases test accuracy.


Grounding Contact Spring

Replacing the traditional metal plate with grounding contact spring helps to improve the contact stability.

Product Overview


NZCQ HTHP consistometer is a new generation of full-automatic instrument for simulating high-temperature and high-pressure downhole well conditions and measuring the consistency change and thickening time of oil well cement slurry continuously, and it is designed and engineered in strict accordance with API Standard-10. Instead of complicated operation by buttons, the instrument adopts a touch screen to set test parameters. It is convenient to observe the test data and graph clearly which are available to be saved as screenshots and be output through the USB port. The change of oil level in the oil reservoir can be tracked in a direct manner through the touch screen. Automatic Pressure Regulation is a function of the instrument, which can reduce errors caused by manual adjustments, so as to make test data more accurate. The valve operated electrically is designed to be used in parallel with the valve operated manually; therefore, the test can be ended manually to prevent the cement slurry from solidifying even if emergencies occur (e.g., power failure). It adopts a cast-aluminium chiller which can shorten the cool-down time effectively and increase test frequency to prevent the cement slurry from solidifying caused by too long cool-down time. The instrument has many nodes which can trigger the alarm in terms of such test parameters as consistency, pressure, air supply pressure, oil level in the oil reservoir, etc. The alarm sound can be turned off more easily through one-button operation. Its surface is made of stainless steel with more durability. The quality of the instrument can be ensured by adopting high-quality components, such as SIEMENS PLC, SC air operated liquid pump, HIP air operated relief valve, Japanese NKK switch, EUROTHERM temperature controller, and customized thermocouple made in Japan.
